Published July 15, 2019
The SOTAMBE Film Institute (SFI) would like to notify the public that the extended date for the submission of movie projects to the 6th SOTAMBE Documentary Film and Arts Festival (SOTAMBE DFAF) 2019 ended on Sunday, 14 July 2019, 00:00.
We are very pleased to announce that we have received 314 movie submissions in total this year, out of which 160+ were submitted internationally, 37 from the Southern African Countries and 114 submitted by Zambian filmmakers!!
We would like to thank all filmmakers, friends and our followers for an amazing support and love we have received throughout this year’s submissions!
The SOTAMBE Film Festival started in 2014 with the idea of two passionate friends who wanted to support film and arts and through these media contribute to the social change. Seeing the progress that the Festival has made in the past three years brings the organizers the biggest joy. This achievement wouldn’t be possible without our main sponsor MULTICHOICE Zambia in the past two years, partners organisations and committed and hardworking team.
All registered filmmakers are requested to make sure that their movies on DVD will reach the SOTAMBE Film Institute by Friday, 20 July 2019 or they will share the download links via google drive, VIMEO or other online media sharing platforms.
The list of accepted movies will be out on Thursday 15 August 2019. For more information follow our social media links on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Detailed programme of the Festival will be available on the website https://sotambe.org/ by the end of August!
Please take a note that the SOTAMBE Film Festival is open to ALL filmmakers (whether his/her movie was accepted or not) as well as to general public! The Film Festival is a community event and everyone is welcome to come and watch, discuss and learn! Entry for all the screenings is free to all!
